About us   About the Kushner Electroplating School

Dr. Joseph B. Kushner, the school's founder, recognized in the late 1930's that there was a need for formal, organized training in the principles of electroplating. In 1947 Dr. Kushner was first able to convert this need into a written, well-organized, home study program. This first home study training program (the first of its kind in the world) was known as Electroplating Know-How.  The entire program was completely rewritten in the late 1970's and was renamed Electroplating Know-How II. Dr. Arthur S. Kushner, the founder's son, became the director of the Kushner Electroplating School in 1978. Dr. Kushner revised and updated the written material as dictated by changes in technology and plating processes. In recent years the school has introduced customized versions of this program to fit individual and company needs.  In December 2008, Dr. Kushner decided to retire and Technic Inc. acquired the plating school and all of its programs to continue the plating educational training in the Kushner tradition.  Mr. William Sepp, who has in excess of 30 years of hands on experience in the plating industry, has become the instructor and Program Director.

Kushner Electroplating School now offers two-day training seminars at various locations throughout the United States and Canada. In addition to correspondence courses and custom on-site training,  we also offer state of the art software packages to assist you with your plating shop needs.  We are here to insure that your plating/metal finishing skills and technologies are up to date to meet the needs of the 21st century.
